Capacitors

Electronic components, materials and power supplies to factory automation systems, anechoic chambers, test systems and more.

TDK – Electronic components and Materials

TDK was founded in Japan on 7 December 1935 to manufacture iron-based magnetic material ferrite, which had been recently invented by Yogoro Kato and Takeshi Takei. In 1952 they began production of magnetic tapes, with compact cassette tapes following in 1966; it is for these that the company is most widely noted

TDK Museum

Through videos and practical demonstrations, the museum introduces how TDK’s products and technologies, centered on our strength in ferrite and “magnetism”, have played a role in the evolution of society and how TDK will be involved in the coming future society in an easy-to-understand, enjoyable, and experiential manner.

KEMET’s product line includes surface-mount capacitors in aluminum, ceramic and tantalum and leaded capacitors in ceramic and tantalum.

Kemet Corporation – Capacitor Technologies

Broad selection of capacitor technologies in the industry across all dielectrics, along with an expanding range of electromechanical devices, electromagnetic compatibility solutions and super capacitors.

The name “KEMET” is a blend of the words “chemical” and “metallurgy.”

“…..Fortunately for KEMET, Bell Laboratories had also invented the solid tantalum capacitor, which complemented the use of low-voltage transistors (semi-conductors) in electrical circuits. Since Union Carbide had experience in the fields of high-temperature metals and alloys, the solid tantalum capacitor was chosen as KEMET’s “new product”.

High Voltage C0G FT-CAP

High Voltage C0G FT-CAP

The HV C0G FT-CAP is ideal for a broad range of high voltage applications in which high volumetric efficiency and resistance to thermal and board stress are critical.

It offers low leakage current, exhibits low ESR at high frequencies and finds conventional use as snubbers or filters in applications such as switching power supplies and lighting ballasts. Their exceptional performance at high frequencies has made them a preferred choice of design engineers worldwide.
